Use the Amazon Deals API to track Black Friday week deals over time, not just one poll: snapshot /amazon-deals on a schedule, keep a first-seen/last-seen baseline per ASIN, see what is new and what dropped out, and avoid the billed 400 for requesting more than 50 deals. A tested Python script with a persistent baseline file.
Build a live countdown list of Amazon Lightning Deals with the deals API: filter on isLightningDeal, parse dealEndTime as UTC, drop deals with no end time or that already ended, and sort the rest into ending-soon, today and later buckets - tested Python, one credit per poll.
Check whether Amazon deals are real reductions: compare each deal price with the lowest Buy Box price of the 30 and 90 days before the deal started, and flag 'was' prices that were never the Buy Box price - one deals call plus one history call per deal, in Python.
Read Amazon's deals page as JSON: deal price, list price, savings percentage, start and end time and a lightning-deal flag for up to 50 deals per marketplace, optionally one department. How to poll it, spot new deals by dealId, alert before a deal ends, and what an empty list means.
